Description of Progressive Dinner:
The Progressive Dinner is an evening where groups of 8 to 10 people rotate homes for different courses of a meal. There will be different people at each course so you get to meet a lot of people in one evening! At the end of the evening, we all gather in yet another person’s home for dessert. Everyone who participates volunteers to host either the appetizer, soup and salad, entrée, or bring a dessert to the dessert party. Each course lasts about 45 minutes. This is usually held in March and is always an adults-only event. Watch the winter issue of the Pheasant’s Tale to sign up to participate in this very popular neighborhood event. There is a fee to help with the purchase of food.
You travel to different neighborhood homes for the following courses and are with different people for each course:
- First Stop – Appetizer
- Second Stop – Soup and Salad
- Third Stop – Main Course
- Last Stop – Dessert – Everyone congregates at the same house at the end for dessert so if you didn’t get to meet them during your other courses you will get to meet them here.
